Senator Robert Antonioni visits 21st Century Scholars Academy Street Learning Center

On December 6, 2006, Senator Antonioni visited the learning center located at B. F. Brown ARts Vision School and met with members of the 21st Century Youth Council. Students prepared questions to ask the Senator from Who makes your suits? to What's it like to be a Senator? The children were thrilled to meet a Senator for the first time. One student said: "You're just like a celebrity!" Students presented the Senator with "Thank You" letters and a signed petition of parents, teachers and students urging his continued support for after school programs. The Senator visited a sign language and a drama activity in progress. We are so grateful of the Senator's support for our programs. Spending time with us today is a reflection of his committment to the needs of children and their families.
